The story of the Kundali Bhagya the opening episode of the serial features two sisters, Preeta and Shrishti. They lived in a small village with their father. When they were very young, their mother left. After their father died, they wanted to find their mother and be reunited with them. So a search began for her in Bombay. The Luthras hired a doctor named Preeta to take care of their grandmother. She looked at her youngest son, Karan.

Spoiler is that their eldest son, Rishabh, is a businessman like Preeta and is in a loving relationship. Although Karan and Preejay shared a close relationship, they never shared their feelings. Rakhi asks why he tears Preeta’s saree and Karan asks why his mother corrects him more than Preeta, he thinks she is wrong. Preeta replies that he is calling her by the same term she used earlier which isn’t fair or unreasonable but immoral, selfish, and unreasonable.
